Caitlin Clark has yet to complete 40 career games in the WNBA, yet she continues to shatter records in her rookie season with the Indiana Fever.

Playing against the Las Vegas Aces in front of the Fever's passionate home crowd at the Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana, Clark broke the record for most assists in a season during the second quarter.

After dishing out assist No. 317 on the year, Clark officially broke the record that was previously set by Alyssa Thomas of the Connecticut Sun in 2023.

While Clark has already become known for flashy behind-the-back passes and full-court heaves, the assist that broke the record wasn't the most exciting. The record-breaking assist actually came off of an inbound pass to fellow Fever star Kelsey Mitchell.

As expected, fans are raving about just how impressive Clark has been in her first pro season.

"Caitlin Clark’s going to be the greatest of all time when it’s all said and done," wrote one fan.

"Clark is her! End of discussion," wrote another.

"Rookie of the year, and all wnba 1st team," commented another fan.

Clark has been rewriting the history books all season for both the WNBA and the Fever.

In fact, she has made history so many times that ESPN has a running list to keep track of them all. She has accomplished feats such as becoming the first WNBA rookie to record two triple-doubles, recording a WNBA single-game record for assists (19) and she also became the fastest player to hit 350 points and 150 assists in a WNBA season.

The 22-year-old star out of Iowa also helped the Fever clinch their first playoff berth since 2016.

While the record is great, Clark is likely more so focused on erasing a double-digit Aces lead as the third quarter winds down.
