The Las Vegas Aces took the court for a matchup against the Indiana Fever at Gainbridge Fieldhouse on Friday night.

The reigning WNBA champions got off to a hot start, holding the Fever to just 13 points in the first quarter taking a 43-35 lead into the halftime break.

ION's WNBA broadcast pulled Aces All-Star point guard Kelsey Plum for a halftime interview at the end of the second quarter.

This interview was awkward to say the least.

When asked about the Aces' defensive effort to start the game, Plum paused and gave a strange answer.

"Umm... I don't know. Come back to me later," Plum said.

This puzzling halftime interview is all over social media.

"Is it just me or is Kelsey Plum being extremely rude in this interview?" one fan asked.

"Think she got off set when the arena went dark," another said.

"Probably just having a bad day/night," another added.

"This is so rude and embarrassing for her," another wrote.

Plum finished the game with 18 points, including a critical fourth-quarter three pointer in the final minute. The Aces held off a comeback effort from Caitlin Clark and the Fever, notching a 78-74 final score and completing the regular-season series sweep over Indiana.

Never been a fan of these in-game interviews. These athletes and coaches are trying to navigate the complexities of their game. Now we make them step away from that mid-game and do an interview... give em a break. They probably couldn't care less about the interview, and I'd agree 1000%.

Eh...not that big of a deal...I think the Clark Cult is just upset that she swept the Fever this year
