Caltrans has scheduled nightly partial lane closures on both eastbound and westbound Interstate 80 (I-80) in San Francisco, beginning Monday, September 16, at 10:00 PM. The closures are to allow crews to conduct emergency barrier repairs, with two lanes set to close while one lane remains open. The repairs, necessary due to vehicle collisions over the years, will focus on replacing damaged concrete barriers and tubular railing along the freeway connectors.

Motorists are advised to expect significant traffic delays during the closures and are encouraged to consider alternate routes. To assist with navigation, Caltrans recommends using its QuickMap service for real-time traffic updates and road conditions.
