Caltrans has issued an update for ongoing construction along the Interstate 80 (I-80) Sierra corridor, impacting motorists traveling through Placer, Nevada, and Sierra counties. Several projects, including emergency repairs and pavement rehabilitation, are underway with expected delays of up to two hours throughout the summer and fall.

Key projects include the Monte Vista Pavement Rehabilitation, bridge preservation work near Crystal Lake, and emergency barrier repairs. Closures will affect both eastbound and westbound lanes between Monday, September 16, and Saturday, September 21.
