Coach Kirby Smart's Georgia Bulldogs remained number one in the Associated Press' Week Three poll heading into their Saturday night clash vs. Coach Mark Stoops' Kentucky Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. ET.

On Friday, Coach Smart had a raw moment as he revealed his innermost thoughts on heading to Lexington to take on on the upset-minded Wildcats at Kroger Field.

The Wildcats are 1-1 on the season having lost 31-6 to South Carolina last week, but Smart wants his team focus on the task at hand to prevent a major letdown.

"I don't think we've been up there that it wasn't just a battle," Smart said according to the Athens Banner-Herald.

"I can't think of a time I've ever been to that stadium and played in a game that was like, 'Well, that was easy.' It's never easy up there. Never."

The Wildcats finished 7-6 overall, 3-5 in the SEC last season and notched a 31-0 win over Southern Miss in Week One before crashing to Earth last week vs. the Gamecocks.

The Bulldogs have an SEC record 27 consecutive regular season wins. With 2023 SEC Title Game victor Alabama on the schedule for September 28 in Tuscaloosa, Coach Smart doesn't want the Bulldogs to feel complacent heading into Saturday night's contest in Lexington.

"Coach Smart's been preaching every day, it's going to be like a blow-by-blow," Georgia defensive back Joenel Aguero said. "It's going to be a fight."
