Since Taylor Swift attended her first Kansas City game in support of boyfriend Travis Kelce last September, she has been adopted by Chiefs Kingdom—of course, this includes the significant others of Kelce's teammates.

In the past year, the pop star has been spotted with quarterback Patrick Mahomes' wife, Brittany Mahomes, several times. From watching their beaus play from stadium boxes to being seen at meals together, the two have spent significant time at each other's sides since Swift entered the NFL realm.

It's no surprise Mahomes and Swift have formed a relationship, especially since of Patrick Mahomes and Kelce are extremely close. But, are the women actually friends?

Here's everything to know about Swift and Mahomes connection, explaining the relationship between the pop star and Patrick Mahomes' wife.

Are Taylor Swift and Brittany Mahomes friends?

Just as Kelce and Patrick Mahomes are BFFs, so too have Swift and Brittany Mahomes grown close. The two were first spotted together out to dinner in New York City the week after the singer attended her first Chiefs game. Then, Swift and Mahomes watched Kansas City play the Jets together from a box in MetLife Stadium that weekend for the first time.

Both women were present at several Chiefs games throughout the season, oftentimes celebrating besides each other and even debuting a handshake during Kansas City's win over the Chargers in late October. Swift also developed friendships with other women in relationships with Chiefs players, as many of them including Mahomes were seen leaving the pop star's New York home in early November.

The two have posted several photos with each other on social media since becoming friends as well. In early February before the Super Bowl, Mahomes also defended Swift publicly on Instagram when she was criticized by many who believed her presence drew attention from games.

Recently, their relationship was questioned as it came out Mahomes liked an Instagram post by Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump in August. Though she has not publicly endorsed any candidate this year, her social media activity is at odds with Swift's political history. The singer endorsed Democratic nominee Joe Biden and Kamala Harris in 2020 and recently did the same with Harris and Tim Walz ahead of the upcoming election.

However, speculation that Mahomes and Swift developed bad blood was put aside as the two attended the US Open men's final on a double date . They were seen hugging and smiling throughout the match. That being said, Swift has received criticism for continuing to associate with Mahomes amidst the singer's evident support of democratic candidates.

Will Taylor Swift attend Chiefs games this season?

The pop star has already attended Kelce's first game of the season, making an appearance at the Chiefs Week 1 contest against the Ravens . The last legs of Swift's Eras Tour are set to begin in Miami on Oct. 18, which leaves her schedule open until then to attend the next four Kansas City games before the team's bye during Week 6.

The final show of her tour will take place in Vancouver on Dec. 6, well before the NFL postseason begins. Therefore, Swift should also be available if the Chiefs make a playoff run.
