Kirk Cousins signed a four-year contract with the Atlanta Falcons this past offseason worth $180 million including a $50 signing bonus, a development that led to a frustrating Week One performance for the former MSU Spartans and Minnesota Vikings quarterback.

Earlier this week, NFL analyst Warren Sharp posted a viral video of Cousins' home performance against the Pittsburgh Steelers, challenging fans to describe what they saw on film.

The results were not pretty to say the least as the Falcons questioned Cousins' future with the team while publicly stumping for first round pick Michael Penix Jr.

"He's not driving the ball," one fan said in response to the video which showed Cousins misfiring against the Steelers.

Cousins completed 16-of-26 passes for 155 yards along with one touchdown and two interceptions during the game.

"Looks like he's avoiding putting too much pressure on his repaired Achilles," the same fan added.

"I see the reason why they drafted Michael Penix Jr.," another fan said.

Fans played the role of armchair offensive coordinator as they continued to view Cousins' game film on Sharps' X account. The video was viewed over four million times as of early Saturday morning.

"Nothing under center, minimal drop backs, no trust in his right foot to plant and drive the ball," another fan added.

One fan tempered the negativity by saying that they believed Cousins would be "fine," stating that he was pressing after missing the 2023-2024 season with Minnesota.

Another stuck up for Cousins, whose Falcons play the Eagles in Philadelphia Monday night, with supportive comments.

"I see a QB that's never ran a Pistol offense in his life taking a majority of his snaps out of the Pistol," the fan said.
