SANTA BARBARA COUNTY – Caltrans will begin implementing overnight one-way reversing traffic control on State Route 192 (Foothill Road) in Carpinteria starting Sunday, September 15. The traffic control will be in effect between Linden Avenue and just east of Toro Canyon Road from 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. each night, except for Friday and Saturday nights.

This traffic control is part of a paving project that includes grinding and temporary striping. The project, led by Papich Construction Company of Arroyo Grande, is valued at $2.7 million and is expected to be completed by the end of October.

Drivers are advised to plan for delays and use alternate routes where possible.
