Ex-Miami Heat Star Hilariously Describes Challenge Of Guarding "Slimy, Sweaty" Nikola Jokic

Nikola Jokic is the reigning, defending regular season NBA MVP who has a Larry O'Brien Trophy under his belt as a member of the Denver Nuggets.

Jokic's playground-style offensive repertoire is the stuff of legends among NBA fans and players who've attempted to stop him over the years, including current Lakers superstar Anthony Davis and former Miami Heat star Hassan Whiteside.

Whiteside took to The OGs YouTube show recently to share his experiences attempting to guard the allegedly slovenly Serbian big man to ex-Heat star Mike Miller.

Whiteside called Jokic his favorite big man, adding that he is "frustrating" to guard.

"He's already like, big, he's like 300 pounds," Whiteside said. "A lot of people don't realize how wide he is, and then he's hitting you like...He's all slimy and sweaty, your arm is just slipping off of him.

"Then he'll turn around, shoot some nonchalant (shot) like this," the former 17-points per game scorer with Miami said, demonstrating a high, arcing over the back of the head type of shot release that Jokic is known for among hoops heads.

Whiteside added that Jokic is hard to defend because of his versatility and high usage rate on offense. Pick-and-roll plays often end with players as small as a point guard forced to guard the 6-foot-11 center because of his craftiness and the functionality of the Nuggets' offense.
