Why Liverpool vs Nottingham Forest is not on TV as Reds fans in UK unable to watch live

Liverpool is looking to make it four wins from four at the start of the season, and the Arne Slot era, against Nottingham Forest at Anfield.

The Reds started off the campaign with victories over Ipswich and Brentford before sweeping Manchester United aside at Old Trafford before the international break. And Slot's side haven't even conceded a goal in those matches.

Forest will prove a tough test though and is also unbeaten in its three matches so far. It is the start of a busy run of fixtures for Liverpool with a Champions League clash against AC Milan to come in the week.

The match at Anfield against Nuno Espirito Santo's side kicks off at 3pm in the UK (10am ET) and is therefore falls to the Premier League's blackout rule. It means UK fans will not be able to watch the match live on TV.

However, for supporters Stateside there is better news. In the US, fans can watch the encounter unfold on Peacock Premium as well as the channel's online streaming device.

Speaking ahead of the match, Slot said: "This is our first game after the international break so the target is to pick up where we left off as we enter a period of the season that we know is going to be more intense than what went before.

“Up until this point, we have played one game each week but from now on we will play a match pretty much every three days so we have to be ready for that because the challenges will come thick and fast.

“As a squad and as a staff we have to be prepared for what is coming. Today we have the Premier League, in midweek we will play in the Champions League, then we have Premier League again and then it is Carabao Cup. This is all within the space of 11 days so it is a big challenge but also an exciting one."
