    A delectable dish to consider adding to your culinary repertoire is the Stuffed Catfish. This flavorful recipe combines tender catfish fillets with a tantalizing mixture of cheese, spinach, and shrimp. For those with preferences, the shrimp can easily be substituted with crab meat without compromising the essence of this must-try dish.

    Ingredients:

    Heartland catfish fillets

    4 ounces cream cheese, softened

    1/2 cup shredded mozzarella

    1/3 cup grated parmesan cheese

    1/2 cup frozen spinach, thawed and drained of water

    1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

    1/8 teaspoon red pepper flakes

    4 (6-ounce) catfish fillets

    3 tablespoons olive oil, divided

    1 teaspoon Kosher salt

    1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

    2 tablespoons butter

    Juice of 1/2 lemon

    Directions:

    Combine cream cheese, mozzarella, parmesan, spinach, garlic powder, and red pepper flakes in a large bowl. Allow the mixture to sit at room temperature. Arrange the catfish fillets on a cutting board.

    Drizzle them with 1 tablespoon of olive oil and season with salt and pepper, ensuring the seasonings are evenly distributed by gently rubbing them onto the fish.

    Slice each fillet in half using a sharp knife. Fill each fillet with a quarter of the spinach mixture.

    In a large skillet over medium heat, warm the remaining oil, butter, and lemon juice until sizzling.

    Place the catfish fillets in the skillet and sear for approximately 6 minutes. Flip the fillets and baste them with the juices in the pan. Continue cooking for another 6 minutes or until done. Serve the dish hot.
