Two killed in fiery I-95 Groton crash

GROTON, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - Connecticut State Police are investigating a fiery Friday night crash in Groton that's killed two people.

Troopers responded to the area of I-95 Northbound near Exit 87 at the intersection with Route 1, where a 2019 Dodge RAM 1500 truck went off the highway, through a guardrail, and slammed into a tree.

After the collision, the truck became engulfed in flames.

Both the driver and a passenger were killed.

State Police aren't releasing their names until they've investigated the crash further.
