There are many reasons people love Pugs. This good-natured breed is full of silliness, which brings laughter into any home. They also make perfect pint-sized snuggle companions for movie night. But these fun-loving dogs are known for expressing their animated opinions, whether happy or mad.

Take, for example, this boisterous boy who keeps his parents entertained in the car. With him riding along, there's no need to turn on the radio.

Check out his unusual collection of sounds in this video shared on September 4:

Oh, my! Ricki (@ rickstar_the_trickster ) sure enjoys sharing his opinion when in the car. At first, it was hard to tell if he was excited, frustrated, or just providing feedback on the driving. However, his mom is an expert in interpreting his language and revealed he understands when they're on their way to the park, which sure seemed to be the case. When he has both parents in the car, it sounds like he's saying, "Mom and Dad." Ha! Ricki's demands for a pup cup also sound pretty passionate, and hopefully, he scored one; otherwise, Mom may never have gotten a moment of peace that day. During his most epic tantrum of the month, he used all his sounds at an increasingly higher volume. When questioned about being loud, he answered by getting louder. Lol! Who said dogs can't understand what we say? Perhaps, if they can understand us, they think we are smart enough to figure out their language. Most times, we do.

    Are Pugs a Talkative Breed?

While Pugs are not generally big barkers, they are well-known for their vocalizations . As a brachycephalic breed , they use a mix of snorts, grumbles, and other sounds to express excitement, frustration, or affection. These quirky noises and their expressive faces give them a reputation for being incredibly communicative with their family, which is undoubtedly the case for Ricki.

This silly guy had people cracking up! Viewer @melissasvejda revealed, "Omg I'm dying laughing! My black Pug Tammy does the same! I'm so happy you caught all this on video because it's hilarious!" It sure is! Another person shared, "This one brought my Pug to high alert. She put her face to my phone and started whimpering. Very concerned!" One of my dogs also heard these sounds and came over to ensure everything was OK. Viewer @kayeannbitious remarked, "Didn't know you adopted Donald Duck." He did indeed sound like this cartoon character.

Although we may never know exactly what our dogs say, pet parents usually have a good idea. If for no other reason, it's because they always let us know when we get it wrong.
