ESPN college football analyst Paul Finebaum recently spoke on the Week 3 slate, previewing some of the best games of the weekend on "SEC Nation."

Finebaum is known for his hot takes, but he didn't give too many surprising picks in Week 3.

He believes the top two teams in the nation are well and above, the Georgia Bulldogs and Texas Longhorns. When asked about the No. 1 team in the country, Finebaum didn't hesitate.

Finebaum believes the Georgia Bulldogs are the best team in the country. He thinks their resume, having beaten the No. 14 Clemson Tigers in Week 1 and picking up a massive victory over Tennessee Tech in Week 2 puts the Bulldogs on top.

"The answer is Georgia," Finebaum said. "The answer is that because they have beaten a respectable team in Clemson. Not a great team, but a team that's capable."

Finebaum gave tremendous credit to Georgia for taking down Clemson in Week 1. He seems to believe they had an impressive win to start the season.

The Bulldogs ultimately defeated the Tigers 34-3, making a stamp at the No. 1 ranking in college football.

Georgia came into the year as the No. 1 team in the country and by Week 3, nothing has changed for the Bulldogs. They've established their dominance and now head into SEC play.

Head coach Kirby Smart and company will be in Lexington, Kentucky in Week 3, set to play their first conference opponent. The Bulldogs will then have a bye week and prepare for a primetime matchup against the Alabama Crimson Tide on Sept. 28.

While they will be tested heading into SEC play, Finebaum believes the Bulldogs are war-ready, having already started the year with a solid resume.
