Josh Pate's 3-Word Reaction to Latest Georgia Football Arrest Says It All

The Georgia Bulldogs have been one of the top college football teams for several years now, as Kirby Smart has emerged as a superstar head coach. Unfortunately, problems off the field have caused a dark cloud to hang over the program.

On Friday, it was announced that cornerback Daniel Harris was arrested for reckless driving. Reports indicate he was driving well over 100-miles per hour.

This marks the 25th time a Georgia player has been arrested or cited with a driving-related incident since January 2023 when offensive lineman Devin Willock and staffer Chandler LeCroy died in a car crash.

On Saturday morning, Josh Pate of CBS Sports was asked to share his take on the ongoing problem in Georgia. Pate only needed three words to describe his feelings about the Bulldogs' latest incident, stating, "It's pretty pathetic."

Pate has said before that he doesn't believe these driving incidents in Georgia is a "culture problem." From the sounds of it, head coach Kirby Smart attempted to fix the problem numerous times. But for whatever reason, it's still happening.

Despite the off the field issues, Georgia remains as the No. 1 football program in the nation. The players have not allowed this issue to affect their play on the field. Nor has it affected Smart's ability of coaching his team on game days.

Although all of the attention is on Georgia's latest arrest, Smart and the Bulldogs will shift their focus on the Kentucky Wildcats. This is Georgia's first game against an SEC rival this season. They blasted Clemson in Week 1 in a dominant 34-3 win then followed that up with a blowout victory over Tennessee Tech in Week 2.

Kentucky are massive underdogs for Saturday's matchup, as the Bulldogs are a -22.5 favorite on FanDuel. But this might be the last time we see Georgia be so heavily favored, as their schedule becomes incredibly difficult in the coming weeks.

Following their matchup against the Wildcats, the Bulldogs will face off against Alabama and Auburn in back-to-back games. Georgia also has Texas, Florida, Ole Miss, and Tennessee remaining on the schedule.

Ideally, these driving incidents and off the field issues go away. But so far, it's a problem that's gone unsolved. Considering the Bulldogs' have one of the toughest schedules this season, they can't afford to lose focus as the year progresses.
