Jane’s Addiction singer Perry Farrell recently upset longtime fans following a controversial violent incident during the band’s performance in Boston on Friday . Things quickly escalated Farrell appeared to lose control on stage, leading to an altercation with bandmate Dave Navarro, with bassist Eric Avery also getting involved.

Navarro has since unfollowed Perry Farrell and Jane’s Addiction on Instagram after last night’s fight.

He also posted and deleted early this morning, “I’m not supposed to post a full song for some reason cause “they” wanna monetize as much as possible by keeping it on YouTube. Personally, I don’t give a f*** so here is our newest song, ‘Imminent Redemption’ in its entirety. You guys deserve it. We have another song coming out the 18th so stay tuned for that!”

What the future holds for Jane’s Addiction?

This sparked speculation regarding the band’s future. Fans shared the dramatic video of the altercation after the show ended in a cliffhanger. This emotional explosion coming on the heels of some “off” moments in other cities that have already been a subject of discussion in reviews and on social media. This raised concerns of whether the remaining gigs on the band’s long-awaited reunion tour, their first in 14 years, will proceed as scheduled.

Friday night’s fateful show took place about 20 dates into the groups’ dual tour itinerary, with 15 left to go. Variety has reported that the tour is still scheduled to continue and conclude on October 16 at L.A.’s YouTube Theater, returning to where the group already successfully performed once near the beginning of their outing in mid-August.

Video clips have surfaced on social media that depicts Farrell, seemingly out of nowhere , threw punches at Navarro during the performance . Navarro, visibly confused, asked Farrell what was going on, only to be met with a barrage of swearing and aggression from the frontman.

During the altercation, Farrell tried to physically attack Navarro. Thankfully, bassist Eric Avery stepped in and restrained Farrell, with the help of crew members, to prevent the situation from escalating further. It was a chaotic and troubling moment, and Farrell was held back in a bear hug by Avery while seemingly continuing to throw punches, possibly hitting Avery in the process.

The band’s security and road crew eventually had to drag Farrell off the stage as the audience watched in stunned silence. The show, which had reportedly been going well until that point, came to an abrupt end about 15 minutes early, leaving fans deeply concerned for Farrell’s well-being.

geez. the fans and the people that admire them deserve some fast answers. it was beyond unprofessional and if it means anything before the "fans" return or demand refund. its an even more personal insult to the drummer. to me it looked like a one man destructo apon his band...thier careers thier fans and folks with sensibility. and to think as a casual listner of thiers i thought hey new tour new music... but at what expense and now detriment
