Raw Wrestler Gets Engaged To Long-Term Boyfriend

In joyful news, LJ Cleary, best known to wrestling fans for his work with NOAH in Japan, has announced on Instagram that he proposed to his long-term Lyra Valkyria on Friday night, with the Raw talent accepting. The Irish couple have been dating since they were teenagers, and while their careers have taken different paths, they are clearly very much in love.

27-year-old Lyra Valkyria, real name Aoife Cusack, broke into the business in 2015 and signed with WWE five years later, having wrestled all over Europe. Initially, she would compete on WWE’s NXT UK brand before moving to the US to join the full version of NXT in 2022. From there, she quickly established herself as one of the top female performers in the company and notably defeated Becky Lynch for the NXT Women’s Champion. Therefore, her call-up to the main roster earlier this year didn’t surprise many.
