Eagles Receiver Depth Takes Major Hit in Latest Injury Report

A.J. Brown has been the Philadelphia Eagles' top receiving target over the last two seasons. His impact on the offense goes beyond just his big frame.

He's not the only player going through an injury currently, though.

Brown's hamstring injury, and subsequent absence from practice Saturday, leaves the Eagles in a difficult position looking to find solutions along the depth of the roster.

Sixth-round rookie Johnny Wilson is also on the injury report with his own hamstring injury too.

The Florida State product's 6-6 frame makes him a natural replacement for Brown should the All-Pro be unable to go on Monday night against the Atlanta Falcons.

With both players currently hurt, the Eagles have only three healthy receivers on the active roster that are expected to be 100% moving into Week 2. While Parris Campbell is a veteran player on the practice squad who will most likely be called up, there are still plenty of questions surrounding the offense.

Without Brown, the Birds lost a 32-9 playoff game where their offense struggled to look competent throughout the contest.

That kind of excuse will not fly for the team against the Falcons.

Regardless, losing potentially a good run blocker in Wilson certainly won't be helping the Eagles' case either.
