CLEMSON — The media got to speak with backup quarterback Christopher Vizzina a couple days following his first real game action, which included a rushing touchdown on fourth down in the third quarter.

–Vizzina was asked about scoring his first touchdown at Memorial Stadium in front of his family. “You know it was fourth down, so I knew I had to go get it, but you know one of the first things I was thinking was I got to get in there. The circumstances are perfect for me it is a ninth game in Death Valley running with the twos, those are my guys, and I was not going to come up short. I got in the end zone and almost got tripped up by the cheerleaders, but that was a really special moment.”

–In his first real action since he was in high school in 2022, Vizzina was stoked and ready to prove to the world that he is indeed ready. “Once we got in the second quarter, I was like I will be able to play a little bit in the second half and I was really excited about that. All the hard work and all the practices, I have seen myself do it and I have proved it to my teammates. Now, I just have to go do it. I wanted my first pass to be a completion and it was and from then on felt like I was very efficient.”

–Vizzina on the back-and-forth competition and accountability between himself and starting quarterback Cade Klubnik. “Obviously, it is a very young room, so I have been able to learn a lot from Cade even though he is a year older than me just being with him having a lot more experience. I take away things from our scrimmages and our games that he does very well, and we just really complement each other and hold the other to a high standard.”
