College Football Coach Calls Out Officials After 10-point Comeback Win

The Backyard Brawl proves to be one of college football's most intriguing rivalries on a yearly basis. Pittsburgh-West Virginia went down to the wire on Saturday and did not disappoint with an epic finish.

The Mountaineers, 2-point favorites, held a 10 point lead late in the fourth quarter before the Panthers mounted a monumental comeback in the final four minutes. After scoring a touchdown and to cut the lead to three, Pitt forced a WVU punt and held the keys to the game with just under two minutes remaining.

Led by Alabama transfer quarterback Eli Holstein, the Panthers marched down the field with ease and scored the game-winning touchdown with under 30 seconds remaining. West Virginia's last-ditch effort ended in an interception and Pitt walked off its home field with a 38-34 win to move to 3-0 on the season.

Panthers head coach Pat Narduzzi appeared to be both excited for the rivalry win and also upset at the officials for calls throughout the game. Pitt was flagged 12 times for 112 yards on the day.

“We beat West Virginia in the Backyard Brawl, and we beat the officials too in one game," he said during a postgame interview.

West Virginia was penalized seven times for 67 yards, including a pass interference call that awarded Pitt a 1st-and-goal opportunity on the game-winning drive.

One can only imagine how Narduzzi would have responded if the game did not end in Pittsburgh's favor.
