The St. Louis Walk of Fame founded by Joe Edwards honors those from St. Louis who have made a cultural contribution in the United States. It's natural to assume if you live in St. Louis, you know all about this stretch of six blocks. If you don't, you might add it to your list of places to see when visiting this city.

You’ll find the St. Louis Walk of Fame on the Delmar Loop. It’s on the sidewalk adjacent to restaurants, gift shops, book and music stores, and art galleries on Delmar Boulevard along the 6000–6600 blocks.

Those who have contributed culturally include journalists, athletes, artists, writers, architects, actors, and musicians. The sidewalk has brass stars and bronze biography plaques paying tribute to some of the most famous people from St. Louis.

The first stars appeared in 1989 of 10 people which included Charles Lindberg and Chuck Berry. Every year, more names are added to the walk within a six-block stretch. To date, there are 170 stars. There's also a book available: St. Louis Walk of Stars: 250 years of Great St. Louisans.

Inductees were either born or spent their formative years in St. Louis. The plaques contain the inductee's name and a summary of the person.

Some others include Maya Angelou, the Fifth Dimension, Yogi Berra, Josephine Baker, John Goodman, Betty Grable, Cedrik the Entertainer, Robert Duvall, Ozzie Smith, Mary Englebreit, Kevin Kline, Vincent Price, and many others.

    Thanks for reading and sharing!

Idea. Use other side of Delmar for an Infamous Walk of Fame. I’ll start: Bill Bidwell, Stan Kroenke, Cardinal Burke, John Mozaliak, City Hall.What/who have I missed?
