To the surprise of no college football fan who tuned into last year's instant classic between the Colorado Buffaloes and Colorado State Rams, this year's meeting has had some spectacular moments.

Similar to last year, there was some trash talk before the game coming from Colorado State. While last year's came from head coach Jay Norvell about Deion Sanders and his sunglasses, some of the pleasantries this year came via the Rams quarterback, Brayden Fowler-Nicolosi.

"We’ll see how far Instagram followers gets them," said Fowler-Nicolosi prior to the game, among other jabs at the Buffs.

The Colorado State quarterback also attempted to troll Colorado's two-way star, Travis Hunter, in the second quarter despite being down 14-3 at the time. After running out of bounds and ending up near Hunter, Fowler-Nicolosi hit Hunter with the infamous "too-small" gesture.

A move he'd likely come to regret, as Hunter got revenge in a big way.

After Fowler-Nicolosi made the gesture to Hunter, the future first-round pick ended up recording four more catches for 31 yards and two touchdowns.

After being blown out by the Nebraska Cornhuskers in Week 2, the Buffs have bounced back in a big way in Week 3 against their other rival.

They will need all of the momentum they can muster as, according to ESPN's FPI, their strength of schedule ranks as the 31st most difficult in the country.

As for Hunter, his case for the Heisman trophy has only gotten stronger in this game. Through the early part of the fourth, which sees Colorado up 28-9, he has 12 catches for 90 yards and two scores while also adding four total tackles and the pick.
