Shedeur Sanders drew controversy after making critical remarks about Colorado's offensive line following a loss to Nebraska.

After the team's 28-9 win over Colorado State on September 14, Sanders made a big show of support for his offensive line.

The Colorado quarterback was sacked six times against Nebraska, and in the postgame press conference made a point to show the disparity with Nebraska's quarterback.

“I mean, how many times did [Nebraska QB Dylan] Raiola get touched?” Sanders said to reporters after the game. “Of course, whenever you’re able to run the ball consistently, then it opens up the pass… you know? But you got to understand what your team’s good at.”

The comments sparked controversy and a strong response from former Heisman winner Johnny Manziel, who said on the "Big Bets on Campus" podcast that the remarks were unacceptable.

"If I was an O-lineman at Colorado, I’d be absolutely pissed," Manziel said. "I really just don’t see how you do this. I don’t see how you come and throw your own guys under the bus that you’re working with, grinding with every single week."

Sanders may have taken the criticism to heart. After Saturday's win over Colorado State, the Buffaloes quarterback brought his entire offensive line with him to the postgame press conference.

Sanders completed 36-of-49 passes for 310 yards and four touchdowns in Saturday's win over rival Colorado State. He was sacked just one time.
