my Dad, born liver pool 1929 , swam across the English channel when he was I think 19. He had a little yellowed "certificate" he displayed occasionally on his Dresser in a frame , 5x7 , typed and signed. when I look him up online in the records kept , there's no mention of him at all . I know his certificate was authentic, my dad could be an s.o.b. at times, but his name and reputation meant something to him and he was very proud of that accomplishment. His name was Jack Bewley.
