The third full week of the 2024 college football season was once again full of surprises.

Texas won, although Quinn Ewers' injury was the story of the game as Arch Manning came in and played well . Missouri had a statement win against Boston College, and LSU barely defeated South Carolina in Columbia.

One of the more surprising results was Georgia barely squeaking by Kentucky with a 13-12 final.

As a result, Joel Klatt updated his college football rankings once again.

    1) Texas

    2) Ohio State

    3) Miami (FL)

    4) Tennessee

    5) Georgia

    6) Alabama

    7) USC

    8) Ole Miss

    9) Penn State

    10) Oregon

Almost: Oklahoma State, Kansas State, Missouri, Utah

Here was Klatt's top 10 from after Week 2.

    1a) Georgia

    1b) Ohio State

    1c) Texas

    4) Ole Miss

Georgia, Texas, and Ohio State were 1A-1C a week ago, but the Longhorns' dominant win and Georgia's too-close-for-comfort loss moved Texas to the top spot.

Alabama, Tennessee, and Miami (FL) all moved up after each of them won with ease in Week 3. Alabama cruised past Wisconsin 42-10, Miami blanked Ball State 62-0, and Tennessee shut out Kent State 71-0.

Ohio State, Penn State, and USC all had byes but remained in the top 10 of Klatt's rankings.

Looking ahead to Week 4, the only top-25 matchups are USC vs. Michigan and Utah vs. Oklahoma State, so there could be a new addition to the top 10, depending on how things go.

For now, Texas is on top of Klatt's ranking as the Arch Manning era began with a bang.
