That streak continued during the first half of 2024. There’s a reason foreign brands like Toyota , Honda, Nissan and Hyundai do so well here, and much of it has to do with getting good value for your money .
Value is a very important consideration if you’re looking to buy a foreign car as a gift this year – because cars have been selling at or near record prices . The average transaction price for new cars was $48,401 in July 2024, according to Kelley Blue Book. Even lower-priced models sold for as much as $36,621.
