Frankfurt keeper Trapp sidelined for next few weeks with injury

Eintracht Frankfurt goalkeeper Kevin Trapp will be sidelined for the next few weeks due to a muscular injury on his thigh, the club said on Sunday.

Trapp suffered the injury in the 2-1 Bundesliga win against VfL Wolfsburg on Saturday and was subbed off during half-time.

The goalkeeper is expected to miss the start of the Europa League. The 2022 champions Frankfurt begin their campaign at home on September 26 against Viktoria Plzen.
