The Patriots fell to 1-1 on Sunday after the Seattle Seahawks earned the overtime, 23-20, win over New England at Gillette Stadium in Week 2.

The two teams were pretty evenly matched throughout the game, but the Patriots couldn’t capitalize a few times while they were in the red zone. Jacoby Brissett turned in another fine performance going 15-of-27 for 149 yards and a touchdown.

For the Seahawks, Geno Smith went 33-of-44 for 327 yards and a touchdown. The quarterback’s numbers might have been inflated had his receivers not dropped several passes.

FINAL SCORE: Seahawks 23, Patriots 20

Rhamondre Stevenson was stuffed on a third-and-1 as the Patriots went three-and-out on the opening overtime drive.

9:08: KJ Osborn gets first reception of the day

The wide receiver hauled in his first pass of the game for a seven-yard gain.

10:00: The Patriots made a change at left tackle, seemingly due to Vederian Lowe’s injury.

It looked as if the Seahawks were going to for it on fourth-and-1 after a failed quarterback sneak on third down. But they elected to kick a field goal instead to tie the game with less than a minute left.

3:52: FIELD GOAL BLOCKED

The Patriots had a chance to extend their lead with a field goal after Jacoby Brissett was sacked for a loss of nine yards, but a critical block by the Seahawks defense kept this a three-point game.

7:11: What a run by Antonio Gibson

Gibson had a great effort that resulted in a 45-yard run for the Patriots. He now has 96 rushing yards in the game.
