(WBBM NEWSRADIO) — Two people died early Sunday morning after a crash on Interstate 80 in southwest suburban Tinley Park.

It happened in the westbound lanes of I-80 between La Grange Road and Harlem Avenue shortly after 4 a.m.

Illinois State Police said an SUV collided with a semitruck, but it wasn’t immediately clear what caused the crash.

Details about the victims have not yet been released.

The westbound lanes on I-80 were closed for several hours following the crash, but the interstate was fully reopened by 10:15 a.m.
