How to Make Halloween Deviled Eggs

To start, Shannon makes boiled eggs in an egg cooker. Then, she uses the flat part of a spoon to crack the shell all around the egg. She mixes up some purple food coloring, diluted with water, in a Ziploc bag and places the eggs in the bag without removing the shells.

She lets the eggs sit in the purple food coloring for a few minutes, making sure the eggs are submerged in the water. After a few minutes, she transfers them to a wire rack to dry.

After the eggs have had time to dry, she peels off shells and cuts the eggs in half. The eggs now have what looks like purple spider webs all over them! She scoops out the yolk and finishes making the deviled eggs, dyeing the egg yolk mixture green with more food coloring. She spoons the yolk mixture back into the purple crackled eggs and they look perfect for a Halloween party.

To dress these eggs up even more, you can add some toothpicks adorned with bats or spiders, or add edible eyes (in the form of olive slices).

Commenters didn't hesitate to hop in with their approval. "Did these last year, such a hit," someone said. "These look so cool," added someone else.

"I will do this year-round now," another person said on Shannon's TikTok video. We can see how easy it would be to customize these for different holidays—red and green at Christmas or pink and red for Valentine's Day.
