Cowboys have worst first-half defensive performance in 20 years vs Saints

After watching the Dallas Cowboys dismantle the Cleveland Browns last week, the last thing fans may have expected was a ghastly performance in Week 2.

Unfortunately for them, Dallas has not lived up to expectations in NFL Week 2.

In the first half of their home opener Sunday against the New Orleans Saints, the Dallas defense put up a performance the likes of which we haven't seen in 20 years.

According to Tony Holtzman-Escareno of NFL Plus, it's the first time since Week 10 of the 2004 season that the Cowboys have given up 35 points in the first half.

Dallas' offense has tried to keep up, and star CeeDee Lamb has done his part. But so far it's not enough. At the half, the Cowboys are down 35-16.
