Comedy legend Eugene Levy and his son Dan are one of the best father-son duos out there.

Their respective talent has taken them far in Hollywood , and their successful individual paths led them to co-star together in the hit series Schitt’s Creek . It’s evident that Dan has inherited his dad’s comedy chops, and is working so he doesn’t just have to rely on family inheritance to sustain him in the future. For over 40 years, Eugene has graced the small and silver screen, making bank by doing so.

According to Celebrity Networth , the Bringing Down The House star is estimated to be worth $30million.

Eugene’s comedy career began when he became a member of the Second City comedy troupe in Toronto, Canada. He rose to prominence among a broader audience in the 1970s with the television sketch comedy show Second City Television, winning him multiple Emmy Awards. The Only Murders in the Building actor’s breakthrough role was as Jason Bigg’s Jim Levenstein’s quirky dad Noah Levenstein in the 1990s movie American Pie.

Eugene is the only original actor to return in all nine installments of the sex comedy series. For the first American Pie, he earned $1million, and the sequel landed him $3million. Eugene got $5million for the third installment American Wedding. It’s unclear what he earned for American Pie 4-8.

Dan is pulling up the rear in terms of net worth. As of now, the former MTV Canada host is worth an estimated $14 million, according to Celebrity Net Worth. The Millennial star is well-known for co-creating the series Schitt’s Creek with his dad. Schitt’s Creek’s final season landed Dan multiple Emmys for producing, writing, directing, and acting, making him the first person to win all of those categories in one year.

Other projects that Dan wrote, produced, directed, and starred in include the 2023 film Good Grief. Additionally, he’s also acted in the films Cyberstalker, Admission, Stage Fright, and Happiest Season.

Eugene and Dan are combining their comedy genius to host the 76th Emmy Awards.

“For two Canadians who won our Emmys in a literal quarantine tent, the idea of being asked to host this year in an actual theater was incentive enough,” Eugene and Dan said in a statement in August, speaking on being tapped to host the Emmys this year. “We’re thrilled to be able to raise a glass to this extraordinary season of television and can’t wait to spend the evening with you all on Sept. 15.”
