Cruise lines can spout all they want about smoking rules but they are not being enforced. The people in the cabin next to us on a recent Carnival cruise were smoking on their balcony all the time which made it hard for us to enjoy ours. When I spoke to guest services I was told to call when they are doing it and they will come. That is a frigging joke because no one from guest services will answer the phone. You have to physically go to the desk and speak to them in person and then MAYBE they will send someone. It’s time for cruise ships to be smoke free. It endangers everyone around them.
