The Seattle Seahawks came out of Gillette Stadium with a win today in overtime after playing another thriller against the New England Patriots. As usual, they didn't get out of the building without suffering any injuries. A couple of defenders were dinged up during the 23-20 win for Seattle.

Head coach Mike Macdonald just met with the media and gave us updates on both.

    OLB Boye Mafe

After playing his second sensational week in a row, it seems Mafe suffered a minor knee injury late in the game against New England. According to Macdonald, Mafe has a knee contusion but will be fine. Mafe finished the game with five tackles, two quarterback hits and a lot of pressures. It doesn't sound like he'll have to miss any time.

    LB Jerome Baker

Weakside linebacker Jerome Baker also suffered a hamstring injury at one point. He was listed as questionable to return and ended the game with four tackles and one pass breakup. After it was over Macdonald told the media that Baker is also "going to be fine." Baker has been banged up with one thing or another ever since he signed, though. If he's out for a while, rookie Tyrice Knight will take his place in the lineup.

That's about all you'll usually get from a head coach immediately after a game. Hopefully Macdonald will be able to be more forthcoming when he speaks with reporters next. If there are other injuries we may have to wait for reporters to break the scoop until Wednesday's initial injury report for Week 3 comes out.

    RB Ken Walker

In related news, before the game, general manager John Schneider did his usual radio hit and told ESPN that starting running back Ken Walker was progressing but that his oblique injury is something the team wants to be careful with. With Walker out the Seahawks got just 38 rushing yards from usual-backup Zach Charbonnet in his first NFL start.
