The Las Vegas Raiders drafted a stud. No, scratch that, the Raiders drafted a future superstar in the NFL. Brock Bowers is the real deal, and even though it's just been two games, he's already showing that. It didn't take long for him to show that everyone who passed on him was wrong for doing so.

Sure, the Raiders really needed a quarterback in the draft, but instead, they got the best overall player , since getting a QB didn't seem realistic. And, it's paid off so far. There have been times when Bowers has looked like the best or second-best offensive player on the team, behind just Davante Adams.

On Sunday against the Baltimore Ravens, we saw just a flash of what he's going to be, so much so that he's already broken a few Raiders' records. Here is what the Raiders PR team tweeted out after several big-time plays.

TE Brock Bowers now has 12 receptions for 125 yards (10.4 avg.), passing Raymond Chester (109) for the most receiving yards in Raiders history among tight ends in their first two career games. Bowers has now also tied Amari Cooper (12) for the most receptions by a Raiders rookie in his first two career games.

Bowers, of course, had that big play from Gardner Minshew on third down where he had not only a big gain but dragged several defenders with him to what appears to be a few feet from the goal line. Bowers is one of the greatest college tight ends of all time, and the potential is limitless.

To see him get used in this offense after the Raiders failed to do so with Michael Mayer in his rookie year last season, has to feel good if you're a fan. Now you feel like the draft picks are at least getting put to good use. Bowers is the real deal.
