Boos Rain Down On Joe Burrow After Emotional Turn Of Events In Bengals Vs. Chiefs Game

Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals battled the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday evening in Missouri.

The Bengals trailed the Chiefs 17-16 midway through the third quarter when star QB Joe Burrow decided to put his head down and make a big play.

Burrow took the snap out of the shotgun and took off running toward the first down marker. He lowered his head as he got closer to paydirt, powering through a defender for the big conversion.

Burrow appears to be embracing the role of the heel and headed toward possible Comeback Player Of The Year status based on his performance vs. Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs so far.

Burrow got up and became emotional and demonstrative after the huge third down run. He gestured and made a first down signal as boos rained down on him in Kansas City.

Burrow's comeback season continued as he converted an even bigger play shortly after, tossing a touchdown pass to Princeton alum and former sixth-round pick Andrei Iosivas as the clock ran down on the third quarter of play.

"He's really impressed me today," CBS broadcaster Tony Romo said about Iosvias, who caught his second touchdown of the day to give the Bengals a 22-17 lead against the defending Super Bowl Champions after an 11 play, 70-yard drive.

Burrow's TD pass was the 99th of his career. He went on to fumble shortly after leading to a Chamarri Conner return for a touchdown giving the Chiefs a 23-22 lead.
