The Bay Area is set for a cool and breezy weather pattern over the coming days, according to the latest Area Forecast Discussion from the National Weather Service in San Francisco.

Gusty winds will continue today, with a cold front bringing noticeably cooler temperatures across the region. Highs will range from the low to mid-70s in inland valleys, the upper 70s to low 80s in the North Bay valleys and southern Monterey County, and the mid to upper 60s along the Bayshore and Pacific coast.

As the cold front advances, temperatures are expected to drop further on Monday, with inland areas experiencing even cooler conditions. Northwest winds will strengthen, with gusts reaching 35-40 mph in some areas and up to 50 mph in regions like the Salinas Valley and the Sonoma Coast.

Drizzle and light rain are forecasted to move in late tonight and persist into Monday afternoon. Rainfall amounts are expected to be light, with higher elevations potentially receiving up to a quarter of an inch, while lower elevations may see only a tenth of an inch. The North Bay and southern Monterey County may largely miss out on precipitation.
