Top AEW Star Sidelined Due To Injury

Having missed most of 2023 due to a back injury, fans of Thunder Rosa had hoped the AEW star would have an extended spell without incident. However, the former NWA World Women’s Champions has now revealed while appearing on Busted Open that she is currently sidelined with a concussion. Precisely when her head injury occurred wasn’t revealed, although as the last match was a four-way bout on the August 31st episode of Collision against Queen Aminata, Serena Deeb, and Hikaru Shida.

“I’m suffering a concussion, so I’m gonna be out for a little bit, for a couple weeks.”

38-year-old Rosa broke into the business in 2014 and signed with Lucha Underground the following year, where she competed as Kobra Moon. From there, she would work for WOW and ROH, although her career really took off when she joined Billy Corgan’s NWA. This is because she got to work for AEW due to the NWA having a working relationship with the promotion, and after impressing Tony Khan so much, he bought out her contract, which rarely happens in pro wrestling.
