Kansas City Chiefs HC Andy Reid does something that will give fans flashbacks of Dontari Poe

Last week the star of the show in the Kansas City Chiefs win over the Baltimore Ravens was Leo Chenal, as he played spoiler to Lamar Jackson's reigning MVP debut to the 2024 season. Chenal was great, with analysts and fans around the world calling him a future star.

On Sunday against the Cincinnati Bengals, he played a bit of a different role, one that may just give fans a taste of the past where one defensive player did something pretty insane on offense.

If you're a fan or even an analyst, media member, etc, you probably remember the Dontari Poe play, where the defensive tackle threw a touchdown pass, among many other great things he has done.

This time, Andy Reid put Leo Chenal, the linebacker, in at fullback to run a play, and, it worked. This came just before he put offensive tackle Wanya Morris in and threw a touchdown to him.

On the Chenal play, the linebacker in at the full back acted as the lead blocker for Carson Steele, who converted the first down. In a way, Chenal was used as a decoy to make the Bengals' defense think he was going to get the ball because he is a strong, fast, big dude.

Instead, it was just Andy Reid being Andy Reid.
