Myles Reacts to 'TrEverBank Stadium' After Browns Win

The Cleveland Browns secured their first win of the 2024 season against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday in an 18-13 win.

Before the game, which was Jacksonville's home opener, the Jaguars were heavily marketing the fact that they were changing their stadium name from "EverBank Stadium" to "TrEverBank Stadium" for the day to honor their starting quarterback Trevor Lawrence.

After the win, Browns superstar Myles Garrett commented on if the team saw the marketing prior to the matchup.

“We heard about it [earlier in the week]," said Garrett. "It just adds a little fuel to the fire. If that’s going to be the main guy then we have to take him out the game.”

Despite being out-gained by Jacksonville in the game, 323-to-297, the Browns defense held the Jaguars to just one touchdown throughout the entire game. Lawrence was unable to get into the end zone himself, and Garrett was even able to get to Lawrence for a sack and force a fumble on the play.

It was a strong showing from Cleveland after an embarrassing loss in Week 1 to the Dallas Cowboys. Quarterback Deshaun Watson, who received a lot of the blame for that loss, finished the game relatively mistake-free, as the Browns offense did not have a turnover on the day. The Browns had almost 10 more minutes of total possession in the game as well.

Cleveland will now look ahead to next Sunday, when they host the 0-2 New York Giants.
