Whenever the Kansas City Chiefs and Cincinnati Bengals play each other, the games are almost always entertaining.

Sunday’s matchup at Arrowhead Stadium — a 26-25 Chiefs win — was no exception; however, the ending of the game was marred by controversy after a polarizing defensive pass interference call on a Patrick Mahomes incomplete pass to Rashee Rice on fourth-and-16 kept the Chiefs’ final drive alive, allowing them to kick the game-winning field goal as time expired.

It’s the second straight week Kansas City won on a controversial final play of the game, and fans are starting to voice their frustration about the league-wide perception that the Chiefs have the officials in their back pockets.

Aside from the fourth-quarter DPI, there were several other calls that went the Chiefs’ way in Sunday’s game, and fans took to social media to point out the referee bias in hopes that NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell would do something about it.

“Bengals y'all got screwed again by the referees. Something ain't right about some of these refs man,” one fan exclaimed .

“Here come the refs. Don't worry, the NFL isn't rigged,” remarked another .

“As usual the refs found a way for the @Chiefs to cheat their way to a win. I don’t even like the @Bengals but they were robbed on that ‘pass interference’ penalty. @NFL is soft and cheats,” a third fan chimed in .

“Chiefs can’t beat the Bengals straight up, has to be decided by the refs,” another fan quipped .

“Refs ruined a great Bengals Chiefs game here,” commented another user .

“You literally can’t convince me the refs don’t make calls to favor the Chiefs,” another user pronounced .

While it’s unlikely that anything comes of the social media outcry, Goodell may be forced to make some sort of change to his officiating crew if referee bias keeps becoming an issue in future Chiefs games.

when your team sucks you always have to blame on something because it couldn't be your fault.Joe has not looked that great in first 2 games. As far as the refs go why don't you mention the missed calls against the Begals especially the late hit out of bounds on Mahomes.

He won't do anything. Chiefs/Kelce Swift make too much money. all publicity, so you got to keep the fix in.
