A lot of adults have undiagnosed autism. It's not that it's more prevalent - it's just that people know more what to look for and are more willing to accommodate those differences. I just got diagnosed, and I'm in my mid 30s. I never had any learning disabilities, but I am severely socially inept and have other symptoms. Since I was a quiet child and socially distant along with being nerdy, most other people, especially adults, would treat me poorly. I'd get punished so much just for being quiet, not speaking loudly enough, not wanting to be in groups, or trying to do what I recognize now as self-soothing behaviors. Nothing I did was "bad." I was just different, and different back then got labeled "weird," which meant you'd get punished and ostracized until you learned to mask to fit in. But masking sucks. I'd rather just be me.

Funny had none of these issues and I have a child with ASD. Can we stop with these? Also vaccines causing Autism has been debunked.
