Connect With Your Inner 'Emily In Paris' At Baccarat Hotel New York

Chances are many of us will experience heartbreak. According to a study in Psychology Today over 80% of us will have a broken heart during our lifetime. And another study says that Americans average around five heartbreaks.
But heartbreaks can make us grow, teach us about life. And as Carrie Fisher famously said, “Take your broken heart, turn it into art.”
The Netflix hit Emily In Paris has done just that. The theme of heartbreak is front and center this fourth season. In the show, Antoine Lambert, owner of the scene and perfume company Maison Lavaux, joins forces with the legendary French Maison, Baccarat to create the perfume Heartbreak.
Lambert is inspired by the name after hearing about Alfie’s relationship struggles. In the show the fetching Baccarat bottle from the iconic House of Baccarat is in the shape of a heart and even has an asymmetrical crack running down its center.
This season the Maison Baccarat plays an important role in the series. The elegant atelier, in Paris's 16th arrondissement, considered one of the great secrets of the city of lights, was the setting for key scenes that featured Emily and multiple characters in the show.
Adam Banfield, president and chief executive officer of Baccarat North America says Emily In Paris and Baccarat made for the ideal pairing.
“In its 260 years, Baccarat has continued to represent and inspire joie de vivre — a concept that is embodied by Emily Cooper and by the joy that ‘Emily in Paris’ brings to so many,” said Banfield in a release. “It’s our hope that the limited-edition Baccarat for Emily in Paris, ‘Heartbreak,’ brings as much joy to a new generation of Baccarat fans around the world as this celebrated series does.”
The Baccarat/Emily In Paris connection doesn’t end with the series. At the Baccarat Hotel in New York fans of the show can experience their own Emily In Paris “heartbreak” in multiple ways. The hotel, an art-filled marvel filled with endless Baccarat crystal designs is celebrating the show in a big way.
This month Baccarat Hotel New York will offer two specialty cocktails inspired by the series. Partnering with Maison Lillet, the French-based wine aperitif, the hotel is serving Emily Lillet Royale Blanc and Emily Lillet Royale Rosé.
These two classy cocktails will be available in the hotel’s Grand Salon, Bar and outdoor terrace through September 26. The cocktails are made from Maison Lillet’s special aperitifs: Lillet Blanc and Lillet Rosé. Contained in Lillet x Emily in Paris limited-edition bottles, they are pieces of art. Each one has a couture-inspired illustration of an iconic Lillet woman in striking looks that appears to be taken from Emily's closet.
If that’s not enough the Baccarat 53rd Street boutique offers a limited-edition Baccarat for Emily in Paris “Heartbreak” piece. A new and bespoke take on Baccarat’s iconic crystal Coeur Amor, that was created in 1988, the 12 ounce heart-shaped crystal paperweight with a jagged red crack down its middle was crafted by devoted artisans at Baccarat in France.
The Heartbreak is a beautiful keepsake and souvenier of the show. It's also a reminder that love has many edges. And has hard as heartbreak is, there’s always hope that something better is around the corner.
