One of the headliners on the visitors list for Clemson’s noon matchup with NC State will feature a prominent 2025 target.

4-star safety Jordan Young (Monroe, NC) told The Clemson Insider that he will return to Death Valley this weekend. It marks his first visit since early June when he attended the big official visit weekend.

Jordan picked up his offer from Clemson in the summer of 2023 after working out at Dabo Swinney’s high school camp and has been one of the top targets at the position since.

What makes this visit even more intriguing is the fact that the Tigers’ opponent, the Wolfpack, is the team thought to be the primary competition to land the blue-chip prospect. Some have even pegged Dave Doeren’s program as the leader for his services. Jordan was in Raleigh just last weekend and also chose to visit NC State instead of attending the All-In Cookout in July. Michigan and Florida State are his other two finalists, which he named back in July.

Young ranks as high as No. 39 overall and No. 3 among all players at his position. He plans to announce a commitment on October 12, meaning this is very well could be the last chance the Clemson coaching staff will have at getting him on campus.

The Tigers have one safety committed in the 2025 class in 4-star Tae Harris, but both RJ Mickens and Tyler Venables are set to exhaust their eligibility after the season.

A limited number of signed footballs from Clemson’s 2022 class are still available.  Get yours while supplies last!  Visit Clemson Variety & Frame or purchase online!
