A Golden Retriever was interested in a toy his human sibling was playing with. His attempt to see what it was ended in a hilarious moment where they were both mesmerized.

On September 10, 2024, TikTok user Honey & Mustard (@goldenbabbie) shared a really cute video in which they both became mesmerized at the same time. Take a look!

In the 31-second video , we meet a baby and a Golden Retriever who have just started their friendship. The dog still isn't sure about the tiny human.

Mustard, the Golden Retriever , gave his human sibling a hand kiss, which you can tell the baby really loved. After that, Mustard did a cute smell check of the baby.

But the baby didn't even notice that Golden was there after the kiss because she was mesmerized by something that had taken all her attention away.

Mustard was interested in what had caught her attention, so he investigated further. Sure enough, he was stunned for a moment, too, seeing his reflection in the mirror.

It was only a brief moment, but it was hilarious because Mustard was trying to get his mom's attention, but he gave it to the mirror.

"What a Good boy, until the end, lol," the video's caption read, referencing the end of the video when Mustard jumps up to get closer to his mom's face.

In the comment section, there was a lot of love for how gentle and sweet Mustard is with his newborn human baby sister.

According to the American Kennel Club , they believe that YOU can't prepare your dog for a new baby using a doll because " Dogs are smart. They know the doll isn’t a baby. And they do know that everything in their world is changing."

They believe that dogs should be given a lot of understanding of any life change that requires an adjustment period. Instead, it's much better to center yourself for your dog.

"Dogs read your body language and your pheromones. If you are anxious and worried about your dog’s reaction to the baby, you may inadvertently be encouraging that anxiety," the club explains.

"Try to find a happy medium between vigilance and stress. Practice feeling it. Practice breathing normally and not holding your breath when the two are in the room together."

It's important not to leave your dog alone with your baby, and pay close attention to your dog's body language, too.
