Jackson Police Investigation Into Highway 80 Shooting

Police officers in Jackson, Mississippi, are currently investigating a shooting that occured on Highway 80.

When officers responded to the scene at Highway 80 on State Street, they discovered the victim, Marquiez Scott.

According to WJTV News, Detective Tommie Brown noted that the crime is believed to have occured at Booker Street in the 3100 Block. The suspect was in a white pickup truck. Scott was shot multiple times and was pronounced dead at the scene where his body was discovered.
