NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Police on Monday released surveillance footage of a suspect wanted for a string of gunpoint robberies that occurred across Manhattan since last month.

The first incident happened just before 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 13, cops said.

According to officials, a 19-year-old man met with two males to exchange clothing in the rear of 37 West 116th St. in Harlem. One of the males displayed a firearm while demanding the victim’s chain and clothing. The other suspect then took the victim’s clothing and jewelry.

The suspects fled north toward West 117th Street with the stolen property. There were no reported injuries as a result of this incident.

The second incident occurred at approximately on Thursday, Aug. 22, when a 24-year-old woman met with two men on the mezzanine of the Canal Street subway station in Chinatown to sell a watch.

The males then fled out of the subway station to parts unknown with the victim’s watch and money.

On Wednesday, Sept. 4, 2024, a 16-year-old male was arrested and charged in connection to the robberies. The second unidentified male is still being sought at this time.

Anyone with information in regard to these incidents is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
