Bobby Bones went to University of Arkansas Fantasy Basketball Camp last week, and it was a lot more challenging than he thought it would be. The camp was for people 30 years old and up, and there were a bunch of ex college players there. Bones admitted he bit off more than he could chew and during the first game, one of the people on his team fell and had to go to the hospital. His team started with eight people, but by the time the tournament happened, only six people were left so they didn’t have any subs.

If you’re not a hardcore basketball player, he does not encourage you to do it. Luckily, he was in shape enough to keep up, but it was difficult. He shared it was one of the hardest athletic things he’s ever tried to do. It was a fun experience, but he would never do it again. Plus, his team did not win the tournament. You can check out some videos of him from the camp on his Instagram.

When basketball camp was done, he drove to The University of Oklahoma for the football game and to lead the Toby Keith tribute he was asked to do. The tribute is a new tradition they started this year to honor Keith’s memory since he was a huge OU fan. It happened between the third and fourth quarters and he wore an ‘I Heart Toby’ t-shirt because he did not want to fake that he was an OU fan out of respect. He thanked the people there for being so kind to him even though he’s an Arkansas fan, and for also putting the Arkansas game on for him in the suite they were in.

Keith was involved in Oklahoma’s Children Hospital, so Bones had a kid from there named Baker on the filed with him. He spoke for a few minutes about Baker and said that Oklahoma and country music misses Keith and that he was honored to be doing the tribute.  He then led the crowd into singing “Courtesy of The Red, White And Blue.” Bones is extremely honored they asked him to do the tribute, and had a great time, especially since both Oklahoma and Arkansas won!
