    2024 Emmy Awards Winners Revealed: Shogun Breaks Record With 18 Wins

    The 2024 Emmy Awards aired last night on ABC, with FX on Hulu shows Shōgun and The Bear leading in the major drama and comedy categories, respectively. Hosted by Schitt’s Creek vets Eugene Levy and Dan Levy, the event took place at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles.

    Out of 25 nominations, Shōgun has officially won 18 Emmy Awards, setting a new record as the first show to do so in a single season. These include Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series for Hiroyuki Sanada and Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series for Anna Sawai, with the latter making history as the first Japanese actress to win in the category. Besides Shōgun, the cast and creative teams of The Bear and Baby Reindeer also had a big night with 11 Emmys wins and 6 Emmys wins, respectively.
