Taylor Swift Reacts to Bold Sign Directed at Her During Chiefs Game

Taylor Swift and Kansas City Chiefs fans were delighted to see the singer catch sight of a tongue-in-cheek sign at the team's latest game against the Bengals.

The handmade sign, which referenced vice presidential candidate JD Vance's viral comments calling Democrats "a bunch of childless cat ladies who are miserable at their own lives and the choices that they've made," read, "We <3 our 'childless cat lady' and 87," because Swift signed off her formal endorsement of Kamala Harris for president that way .

The group who made it happened to be seated just rows in front of the singer in her suite. As seen in a snapshot and a video re-uploaded to X by a fan account, at some point in the game they turned around to show the sign to Swift, who was looking at just the right time.

In the clip, originally uploaded to TikTok by a fan named Kenz Miller , Swift bends over in laughter behind the glass before blowing a kiss to the fans, causing the surrounding area to scream in excitement.

It was good timing on the fan's part. While likely not created in response to Donald Trump's hateful comments about the singer earlier that morning, where he posted, "I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT!" on his Truth Social platform, it's safe to assume she was aware of the message, which went on to spark a warm campaign among fans— including actor Mark Hamill —as they flooded X with the hashtag #ILoveTaylorSwift.

Many of her fellow celebrities have also taken the politician's attempted insult and ran with it, including Selena Gomez , who compared Martin Short and Steve Martin to childless cat ladies at the Emmys on Sept. 15, Candice Bergen , who meowed at the Emmy's in a "not so subtle shoutout," and Jennifer Aniston , who pointed out the harm that could come from Vance's statement to women who have tried—and failed—to conceive on their own.
